  • What types of homes will be available?

For the next stage of development at Lakeside, a range of typologies of predominantly standalone homes will be available from our builder partners. You can read more about the types of homes here.

  • Are there affordable homes at Lakeside?

Yes, at least twenty per cent of the homes delivered by Kāinga Ora at Lakeside will be more affordable homes which will be sold under the Colab Series banner. Lakeside Colab Series homes are only available to eligible owner occupiers, whether first home buyers or not. Initially, these homes will be three bedroom homes priced at, or under $650,000. Colab Series homes may be smaller than those sold at market prices in order to achieve the lower price point, but they are just as warm and well built, like all homes at Lakeside.

  • Will there be a school at Lakeside?

Yes, there will be a new primary school at Lakeside.

Lakeside will also have easy access to transport routes, and road and walking connections through to Te Kauwhata are being improved, including through the recently completed Rimu Road extension. Approximately 6km of walking and cycle trails are planned for Lakeside’s 75 hectares of dedicated reserve wetland and open space.
