We’re really excited to introduce our new Information Centre Manager, Peraniko Karu! As a licenced real estate agent and local, Pera has a great understanding of both our neighbourhood and the homebuyer journey. We had a chat with Pera about her background, interests and her new role with the Lakeside Development team.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself, Pera?
I come from Paeroa and was raised in Huntly for part of my childhood before moving to Hamilton in my teens. Outside the office I enjoy the simple things – alone time, lake walks with my dogs, music and, once in a blue moon, evenings out with my close friends or family.
What does your role involve and what do you enjoy the most about it?
Nothing beats helping people along their journey as they look to buy a home, or even simply when they enquire about any assistance or information available for them. My role varies from managing the information centre and connecting with our build partners to answering enquiries from visitors about the development and our community. I enjoy the diversity of this role and the learning that comes with it.
What do you love the most about the Lakeside/Te Kauwhata Community?
I love the rural feel of Te Kauwhata and the beautiful scenery of Lakeside. The people here are very warm and welcoming as well.
What are some of the benefits of visiting the Information Centre?
We provide a complete overview of all homes available for sale, the latest price list and opening hours (or contact details if needing to book first) for show homes. We can also inform visitors about any events happening here at Lakeside.
If you’d like to learn more about Lakeside Development and the homebuyer journey, pop into our Information Centre for a chat. We’re located in the Lakeside Village Centre on the corner of Scott Road and Rimu Street and open from Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
