WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE GROUND

Over the next eight years, Lakeside Development will create a new neighbourhood of 1,650 high-quality homes on the edge of Lake Waikare. Lakeside’s location combines the best of town and country living, with brand-new homes in a picturesque setting, close to an established, friendly rural town and within commuting distance of work in important employment hubs in Auckland and Hamilton.

PROGRESS SO FAR

• Construction continues across Stages 1 and 2, with homes progressing over the coming months.
• The new neighbourhood playground in Stage 1 has quickly become a local favourite - with the basketball half-court proving especially popular.
• Stage 3 lots have been released to build partners, with more affordable and market homes expected to follow later in 2026.
• Stage 4 and 5A lots are due to be completed in Q2 2026.

The Lakeside Playground Comes Alive at Official Opening

Around 250 residents, families, and visitors turned out on a beautiful February morning to celebrate the official opening of the new Lakeside playground. Shaped by input from the community, Ngā Muka, and local schools, the Matariki-themed park was an instant hit - read about the day and what made it so special here.

Unity Hoops at Lakeside Park
